Obituary

Fredric Howick, 57, died on Sunday, July 3, 2005 at the CNC unit of the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Memorial services will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, July 11, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls with Rev. Arlen Hermodson officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in the Park Ridge Cemetery, Norden Township, Pennington County, MN with a processional to the cemetery using Fred's pickup.

Fredric was born on May 29, 1948 to Lloyd Clifford and Elizabeth Bunny (Dahlen) Howick in Thief River Falls, MN. Freddy attended school in Thief River Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1968. He completed the AVTI welding program in 1969. Freddy farmed with his Dad until Dads retirement in 1994. Freddy worked one summer at Nelson Implements and has worked at Errico Tool in Viking since then. He looked forward to going to work at Ericco and being part of the action. He has many friends at Ericco tool. Freddy was very sociable and friendly, making friends wherever he went. He loved to visit with people especially at Cenex and Petro Pumper. Many people recognized Freddy coming down the road with his dog, Samantha, in his Chevy pickup.

Freddy loved to deer hunt and looked forward to that every year. Freddy had many good hunting party friends. He also enjoyed snowmobiling with friends and fishing, especially ice fishing.

Freddy loved life and lived each day to its fullest. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and to tell a story or two. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Fred is survived by one brother Bruce (Claudette) Howick, Billings, MT; one sister Sara (Jim) Blix, Thief River Falls, MN; Howick nieces and nephews Tamra (Ken), Eden Prairie, MN; Andrea, Chicago, IL; Angela, Eden Prairie, Gregory, Jacksonville, FL; Zachary, Jacksonville, FL; Blix nephews: Keith (Jennifer), Eric, Michael, all of Thief River Falls, MN; Aunt Ruth Howick, Uncle Roger Roy, Uncle and Aunt Chester and Tommy Dahlen, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
