OBITUARY FOR FRIEDA ZUTZ
RED LAKE FALLS, MN

Frieda Zutz, 96, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, April 1, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 10:30 AM in St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with Reverend Jeffrey S. Lytle Officiating. Burial will be held in the Immanuel Cemetery at Wylie, MN.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Frieda Marie Zutz was born August 7, 1905 daughter of the late Henry and Louise (Weiss) Busse in Browns Creek Township near Wylie, MN where she was raised and educated. On February 15, 1929 she was united in marriage to Louie Zutz in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Wylie. The coupe lived and farmed in the Wylie area where they raised their 8 children.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting, flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, canning and baking. She like to play cards and bingo and doing puzzles and word find. Most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her grand children. Frieda was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church until its closing, then became a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls where she was active in the ladies aid. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Frieda is survived by her children Louis Zutz Jr. of Thief River Falls, MN; Marjorie Walters of Atlanta, GA; Betty (Bud) Kruse of St. Hilaire, MN; Janet (Jerome) Skjerping of Thief River Falls, MN; Laurel (Norbert) Pastir of Roseau, MN; Connie (Larry) Kennedy of Grand Forks, ND; Karen (Bill) Philion of Minot, ND and Tim (fianc Deb Wilmot) Zutz of Red Lake Falls. 30 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Sisters Alma (Gerhart) Zwingelberg of Winfield, KS; Marie Lehrer of Red Lake Falls, MN; Lucille Lehrer of Red Lake Falls, MN; Geraldine Flage of Red Lake Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Louis on November 18, 1987; parents, granddaughter Patti: brothers and sisters Sophie Tischart, John Busse, Albert Busse, George Busse, Harold Busse and Adolph Busse.
