Gail D.  (Sailors) Ziegler, 70, of Valley City, ND formerly of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at home in Valley City, ND.

Celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Newfolden, MN with Rev. Cathie Rhodes officiating.  Burial will follow at the Folden Cemetery, rural Newfolden, MN.

Gail Diane (Sailors) Ziegler was born May 4, 1947 in Thief River Falls, MN, daughter of the late Marlin Z. and Myrtle A. (Hanson) Sailors. She was baptized at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at Newfolden, MN.

The family moved to Devils Lake, ND in 1960 where Gail was confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church and graduated from Central High School. Gail continued her education at Lake Region Junior College in Devils Lake and then attended at UND in Grand Forks. She enjoyed outdoor activities, exercising, music, dancing, singing and spending time with her family and children, who she loved dearly.

Gail is survived by her four children: April (Eric) Walker, Becky (David) Cunningham of McHenry, ND, Ben (LeeAnn) Ziegler of Madison, WI and Steven (Katie) Ziegler of Madison, WI; nine grandchildren; four siblings: Carol Frison of Stockton, CA, Marsha (Don) Kringstad of West Fargo, ND, Debbie (Conrad) Freeman of Highlands Ranch, CO, Amy (Ken) McDowell of Monroe, WA along with several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marlin and Myrtle Sailors, and grandparents, Andreas and Johanna Hanson and Dick and Ada Louise (Vice) Sailors; sister Sherry Lynn Sailors.
