Gary Rose, 57, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home in Red Lake Falls surrounded by his loving family.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 12:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls with Father Chuck Huck Officiating. Burial will be held later in the spring at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 " 8 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls with a 7:00 PM prayer service and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Gary Stephen Rose was born August 20, 1952 son of the late Ray and Elizabeth (Drees) Rose in Red Lake Falls, MN. He was raised in Red Lake Falls, attended St. Joseph School and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1970. Gary traveled around the country on motorcycle with his friends. He worked as an iron worker on numerous jobs erecting steel buildings and other structures in several different states. On November 18, 1988 he was united in marriage to Carol Grenier at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Following their marriage, Gary stayed home and raised their two beautiful children and took care of his mother until her death in 1999. Gary drove seasonal beet truck for his friend Lloyd Kasprick at Angus, MN from 1987 through 2009. Since 2006, Gary had been working for the State of Minnesota, most recently on the bridge crew.

Gary enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, hunting and was very lucky at the casino. He was a member of the Local 433 Iron Workers Union.

He is survived by his wife Carol, son Sam, and daughter Jackie, all of Red Lake Falls, MN. Although Gary had no brothers and sisters by birth, he leaves many friends and family who love him like a brother and whom he loved very much.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and step father Cliff Orvik.
