George Dahle, 93, died Monday, March 19, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM Friday, March 23, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Jonathan Dodson officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery, Oklee, MN.

Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral

George Dahle was born August 7, 1913, the son of Ole J. and Bertina (Grande) Dahle. He was baptized and confirmed. He grew up and attended Roadside School in Deer Park Township, MN.

He farmed on the family homestead until he retired in 2000 at which time he was the oldest working farmer in Deer Park Township. He also worked for 2 years in the iron mines in Chisholm, MN.

George liked dancing, hunting, tinkering with vehicles, maintaining farm equipment, and conversations with friends.

Survivors include nieces, Betty (Mark) Trumm of Alexandria, MN and Linda (Ron) Wilsey of Eveleth, MN; two great nephews, Mike (fiance, Leah Shadle) Wilsey of Duluth, MN and Ken (Jacki) Wilsey of Virginia, MN.

He is preceded in death by parents; and brothers and sisters, John Dahle, Alma Malvig, Olga Dahle, Burton Dahle, and Bergina Schultz.

George Dahle died on Monday, March 19, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls at the age of 93 years, 7 months and 12 days. May his memory be blessed.
