George Ike Westlake, Jr., 47, died on Thursday, November 15, 2007 at his home in Plummer, MN.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 on Monday, November 19, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with Reverend Jonathan Dodson officiating. Burial will be at Emardville Cemetery, Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with a 7:00 P.M. Prayer and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

George Ike Andrew Westlake, Jr. was born on February 29, 1960 in Fosston, MN, the son of George Andrew Westlake, Sr. and Merlyn Marie (Hinkley) Westlake. He was baptized on February 29, 1960 at Fosston, MN and confirmed on May 11, 1975 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer. Ike attended school in Plummer, graduating from Plummer High School on May 26, 1978.

Ike farmed the family farm until 1984 when he went to work, farming, for LeRoy and Bob Carriere. The past few years he was leased to Paradis Trucking Inc. in Brooks, MN, trucking all over the United States until the time of his death.

Ike enjoyed reading, playing cards and he loved buying presents for his niece and nephews. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Plummer Sportsmans Club.

Ike is survived by his mother, Merlyn (Orlis) Hanson of Thief River Falls, MN; brothers and sisters: Allen (Elizabeth, Liz ) Westlake of Mentor, MN, Mary (Dave) Torgerson of Fertile, MN and Connie (Mitch) Hemmesch of Thief River Falls, MN; one niece, Buckoo Jessica Willett; nephews, Isaac and Quinn Westlake; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, George, Sr. on May 3, 1983; and his grandparents.
