George Piché, age 87, of Red Lake Falls, MN, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Terrebonne, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. George Theodore Piché was born on September 24, 1926 at the farmstead in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Clifford and Lumena (Fournier) Piché. As a child, George and his family moved to Terrebonne Township, rural Red Lake Falls, MN, where he grew to manhood on the family farm. George was united in marriage to Betty Karver on June 12, 1947. They established their home and raised four sons. On June 11, 1976 George was married to Delores (Joyce) Barkie. Together they had two children. George enjoyed the ranching lifestyle, raising beef cattle and being outdoors. He enjoyed riding his horse, Paint. George is survived by his children, Dennis (Debra) Piché of Red Lake Falls, MN, Roger (Patty) Piché of Red Lake Falls, MN, Wayne (Lisa) Piché of Manvel, ND, Elaine (Brian) Peterson of Silverdale, WA; daughter-in-law, Sharon Piché of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Renae (Ken) Olexa, Scott (Lisa) Piché, Jeremy Knutson, Tiffany (fiancé Marc Segelstrom) Sheppard, Kristen Piché, Lisa (Kyle) Jorissen, Amy Buckholz, Tina (Paulo) Romero, Stacey Piché, Tyler Piché, Ryan Piché, Danny (Natasha) Piché, Paul Piché, Julie Piché, Eric Peterson, and Cory Peterson; 18 great-grandchildren; former daughter-in-law, Sylvia Piché, and close family friend, Val Knutson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Benjamin (Ben) Piché and Gregory (Greg) Piché; grandson, Mark Piché; granddaughter-in-law, Kelsey(Holtan) Piché, and brother, Elmer Piché.
