George W. Supernois, 84, died September 9, 2002 at his home in Erskine, MN
George W. Supernois was born April 24, 1918, at Tracy, IA, the son of Louis Allen and Olive Genny (Mellott) Supernois. He was baptized on June 20, 1918, at Pleasentville, IA. He grew up and attended school at Erskine, MN. He worked as entertainer until entering the service.
He entered the Air Force on February 27, 1942 and served with the 811th Unit at Lawson Field in Georgia. He also served in the Asiatic, Pacific, European, African and Middle East.
On December 6, 1941, George was united in marriage to Deloris Fern Pellerin at Brooks, MN. He moved to Wayne, MI, where he worked at Garwood, IN as a welder. In 1969, he retired and then moved to the family farm near Erskine, MN.
He held membership in the Red River Valley Fiddlers Association for many years. He loved to play the fiddle, piano and accordian.
Survivors include daughter, Cherie (Keith) Berry, Erskine, MN; sons, George Supernois, Wayne, MI, Patrick (Linda) Supernois, Inkster, MI and Mark Supernois, Wayne, MI; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Hanson, Long Prairie, MN.
Preceded in death by wife, parents, grandparents and a brother Gordon.
