Gerald Albaugh, 50, died on Friday, June 9, 2006 in New Solum Township, Marshall County, MN.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in New Solum Township, Marshall County, MN with Pastor Ollie Urdahl officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Tuesday evening and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Gerald Lewis Albaugh was born on August 18, 1955 in Thief River Falls, MN the son of Lynn Jacob and Evelyn Theresa (Bartlett) Albaugh. He was baptized into the Christian faith at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and attended the Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden, where he was confirmed. Jerry graduated from Marshall County Central High School in Newfolden.

On November 22, 1975 Jerry was united in marriage to Brenda Jelle in Grygla, MN. To this union five children were born, April, Andrea, Drew, Allyce, and Alaina. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls, MN where Jerry worked at the hospital for the ambulance service. Later the couple moved to Pine River, MN where Jerry worked as an E.M.T. While in Pine River Jerry became the manager of the Aitkin Ambulance Service and in 1979 he and Brenda purchased the business.

The family moved to Staples, MN where Jerry went back to school and earned his degree in Robotics Technology. His first job in the robotics field following his graduation was in 1988 at the McClelland Air Force Base in Sacramento, CA where Jerry worked on the Stealth Bomber. In November 1992 they moved to Appleton, WI and Jerry went to work at Miller Electric. Later, Jerry went to work for Daihen, Inc. based out of Tipp City, OH where Jerry would travel extensively teaching, troubleshooting, and installing robotic systems.

Jerry especially enjoyed taking his children places and also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid sportsman.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Brenda Albaugh of Appleton, WI; children, April Albaugh of Madison, WI, Andrea Albaugh of Madison, WI, Drew Albaugh of Appleton, WI and Alaina Albaugh of Appleton, WI; mother, Evelyn Albaugh of Thief River Falls, MN; brothers, Richard (Brenda) Albaugh of Warren, MN and Tom (Janice) Albaugh of Ada, MN; sisters, Linda (Paul) Ernster of Circle Pines, MN, Norma (Dale) Reidemann of Chillicothe, MO, Evelyn (Arvid) Halvorson of Thief River Falls, MN and Debra (Heiko) Kampf of Boaz, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Lynn; daughter, Allyce in March, 2005; and sister, Ramona.
