Gerald Gram, 66, died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at First Lutheran Church in Middle River, MN with Reverend Curtis Matz officiating. Burial will be at First Lutheran Cemetery, Middle River, MN.

Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Monday, May 16, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Monday evening and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Gerald Dean Gram was born on October 30, 1944 to Buel Bud and Adeline (Foss) Gram in Thief River Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Gerald attended grade school and high school in Middle River, MN.

On August 4, 1962, Gerald was united in marriage to Judy Montgomery at Bethlehem Lutheran in Newfolden, MN. Together they made their home in the Middle River area. They were blessed with three sons, Dean, David, and Darin. Throughout his life, Gerald worked various construction jobs including Thygeson Construction and Davidson Construction.

In 1990, Gerald was married to Rhonda Hunt and became a step-father to Heather. Their family made their home in Middle River and on August 7, 1992, were blessed with a son, Cody.

Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, reading and watching westerns, and visiting with his family and friends. Playing cards was a favorite pastime of Geralds, especially pinochle. He loved hunting with his children in the fall and picking blueberries in the summer.

Gerald will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by children, Dean Gram of Newtown, ND, David (Candy) of Middle River, MN, Darin (Kim) Gram of Middle River, MN, Heather (Wayne) Garthus of Holt, MN, and Cody Gram of Middle River, MN; grandchildren, Dana, Nick, Ben, Amanda, Krystle, Candice, Kendall, Kerry, Casey, Cole and Jalen; brothers, Kenny (Lavon) Gram of Spring Lake Park, MN, Donald (Donna) of Princeton, MN, Keith (Linda) of Middle River, MN, Randy (Sandy) of Detroit Lakes, MN; uncle, Gordon Foss of Grygla, MN and several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

Preceding Gerald in death are his parents, Buel and Adeline.
