Gladyce Evelyn Roberts was born on May 25, 1920 in Frederick, Oklahoma, the daughter of Herbert and Hazel (Smith) Roberts. She attended school and was raised in the Baptist Faith. Gladyce raised her four brothers after her mother passed away. She worked in various places and moved to Albuquerque where she met George Thorson. In July of 1947 she and George were united in marriage. The couple lived all over the United States, while George was in the military retiring in 1959. They moved to their farm near Grygla where they raised cattle and small grains. Gladyce also worked for Green Thumb until her retirement and she entered C&NC in the fall of 1998.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning vegetables, talking politics, reading and most of all her grandchildren.
Gladyce is survived by her children George (Gaye) Thorson, Thief River Falls, James (Monica) Thorson, Grygla, Marie Wiseth (special friend Jim Kohler), Thief River Falls; grandchildren Dana Frazier, Erica and Terri Thorson, Jolene and Brady Wiseth, Jared Comstock and Michelle Anderson; great grandchildren Logan, Kalen and Shelby Kotrba and brother Pete Roberts.
She was preceded in death by parents, grandson Adrian Wiseth, brothers Otis, Jim and Herbert and sister Wilhemina.
