Gladys Reindal, 94 died on Monday, November 22, 2010 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
Gladys Iva Reindal was born December 31, 1915 on the family farm in Equality Township, Red Lake County, MN the daughter Theodore and Valborg (Bjorgum) Reindal.
She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Clearwater Lutheran Church rural Oklee, MN. Gladys attended country school and also attended high schools in Bemidji and Thief River Falls; and she graduated from high school at the AC in Crookston.
Following high school, Gladys moved to Baudette where she stayed with her aunt and uncle, the Torgersons, and lived there for a short time. She then moved to Seattle in the mid-1930s where she worked as a seamstress. After the war started, Gladys went to work for Boeing in the shipyards. When the war was over, she returned to live in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went to work in the alteration department at Donaldson Department Store.
In the 1960s, Gladys moved back to the home farm in Equality Township to care for her father, Theodore and her brother, Harold. In the 1980s she moved to Thief River Falls where she has continued to reside.
Gladys enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She was a quiet person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed attending Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.
Gladys is survived her siblings, Evelyn Lillo of Roseau, MN, Olga Dahlen of Thief River Falls, Corinne Roisland of Thief River Falls, MN, Sidney (Hedy) Reindal of Fosston, MN, and Dellys Reindal of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Leonard, Harold and Kent.
