Glen Haugen, 85 died on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Reverend Terri Cuppett officiating. Burial will be at Community Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM " 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN and for one hour prior to service on Friday.

Glen Haugen was born October 16, 1920 at St. Hilaire, MN, the son of Oscar and Minnie (Johnson) Haugen. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith. He attended Wide Awake Country School in River Falls Township.

Glen served his country in the United States Army Field Artillery. He was stationed in Africa, Italy and mainly stationed in Europe. After his military service, Glen returned home to the family farm where he worked side by side with his father, Oscar for many years. He continued farming until he moved into Hillcrest Nursing Home, February 18, 2003. Farming was Glens life.

He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, St. Hilaire, MN. Glen served on the St. Hilaire Elevator Board for over 38 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, going on road trips, picking berries and tearing machinery apart. He enjoyed telling tall tales.

Glen is survived by a sister, Betty (Bud) Molstad, Thief River Falls, MN; nieces and nephews, Jackie Olson, St. Hilaire, MN, Gary Haugen, Thief River Falls, MN, Marilyn Fisher, Plummer, MN, Gloria Lauhoff, Colfax, WA, Ted Haugen Las Vegas, NV, Earl Molstad, Wausau, WI, Linda Hester, Edwardsville, IL and Rodney Molstad, Fargo, ND; cousins, Sue Couette, St. Paul, MN, Ray Moschner, Warroad, MN and Sandy Mugaas, Red Lake Falls, MN and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by parents, brothers, Oliver and Raymond.
