Glen Moose, 82, died Monday, August 14, 2006 at his home in Webster City, Iowa.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 20, 2006 " 2:00 PM at New Hope Lutheran Church, Newfolden, MN with Pastor Ollie Urdahl, officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery, New Solum Township, Marshall County, MN.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 19, 2006 from 6:00 " 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN and continue one hour prior to the service in the church on Sunday.
Visitation will also be Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, IA.
Glen Joe Moose was born May 3, 1924 on the family farm near Herman, MN to Raymond Isaac Moose and Myrtle (Butler) Moose. He graduated from Stephen High School in Stephen, MN in 1942.
Glen was united in marriage to Veronica Nell Halvorson, December 1, 1951 in Viking, MN. They lived in Donnely Township of Marshall County where he farmed. They then moved in 1963 to Phoenix, AZ where he worked as a mechanic. They moved back to Viking in 1969 where Glen worked as a mechanic in Thief River Falls at Northern Chevrolet, Furseth Nelson Implement, and Loffeler Road Construction, and returned to farming after that. He moved to Webster City, IA in 1997.
Glen enjoyed restoring old furniture, playing cards, especially cribbage, and spending time with the grandchildren.
Glen is survived by 4 daughters: Glenda (Forrest) Nordmark, Roth, ND; Gail (Bryan) Dahl, Rawlins, WY; Gloria (Paul) Anderson, Oklee, MN; Gay (Jim) Voytilla, Viking, MN; 3 sons: David (Marlys), Newfolden, MN; Daniel, Newfolden, MN; Don (special friend Val Eicholtz), Newfolden, MN; 21 grandchildren; Eric, Christopher, Kerry, Kandy, and Kasey Moose, Adam, Brian, and Vanessa Nordmark, Courtney Gustafson, Jonetta and Alexander Dahl, Joshua, Jesse, Jacob, Faith, Jason, and Jamie Kruchowski, Joseph, Jessica, Michael, and Nicolle Voytilla, 2 sisters, Esther Hansen, Mesa, AZ; and Helen Zwyghuizen, Poplar Bluff, MO.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, wife Veronica on March 2, 1988, 1 brother Lloyd Moose.
