Goldie Lamberson passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at the Thief River Care Center.

Memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, July 16, 2021 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Daryl Cory officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Goldie Ann Finstad was born December 14, 1926, daughter of Helmer and Mildred (Huseby) Finstad in Wyndotte Township, Pennington County, near Hazel, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Pauli Lutheran Church near Hazel, MN. She went to country school and graduated from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, MN.

On October 18, 1944 she was united in marriage to Tilmer Loren Breiland at St. Pauli Lutheran Church. To this union five children were born Carol, Kathy, Barb, Dale and Ron. During the years the children were growing up she worked on the family farm, and served as Scout Leader, 4-H Leader and was an active member of Rocksbury Homemakers Group, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN. In 1979 she was divorced from Tim and worked for a short period of time at Arctic Cat.

On December 1, 1984 she was united in marriage to Howard Lamberson at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Since that time she lived at Warren, MN. The couple enjoyed traveling the country together. She was a member of the homemaker club in Warren and was a regular volunteer at the Sr. Dining Site, an officer in Sr. Club and a volunteer driver for Social Services. They moved to Summerfield in Thief River Falls in 2013.

Goldie is survived by her loving children Kathy (Chuck) Carlson of Thief River Falls, MN, Barbara (Clyde) Sorenson of Thief River Falls, MN, Dale (Debra) Breiland of Lake Bronson, MN, Ronald (Josephine) Breiland of Gilbert, AZ; Son-in-law Glen Iverson of Goodridge, MN step-daughters Donna (Michael) Olson of Boulder, CO, Jane (Keith) Garman of Boulder, CO; grandchildren Rick Poppenhagen, Peggy (Rick) Kezar, Tim (Lisa) Poppenhagen, Wayne (Rhianna) Iverson, Ryan (Julie) Iverson, Todd (Heidi) Carlson, Matthew (Katrina) Carlson, Sunny (Ryan) Wilde, Carla (Troy) Schoenberg, Cami (Derek) Dahlstrom, Derek (Heidi) Sorenson, Philip Breiland, Joseph Breiland: step-grandchildren Brenden (Lindsey) Olson and Morgan Olson; great-grandchildren Kallie, Kory, Jenna, Evan, Wyatt, Colton, Tanner, Thomas, Nicholas, Grant, Maddie, Karleen, Marlow, Remmy, Tegan, Levi, Austin, Carter, Alexis, Mya, Sydney, Peyton, Paisley, Lola, Rowan: brother Rueben (Peggy) Finstad of Camp Douglas, WI; sisters-in-law Helen Dowden of Carmel, IN, Audrey Breiland of Thief River Falls, MN: along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Goldie is preceded in death by her husband Howard, parents Helmer and Mildred, daughter Carol Iverson, grandson Troy Carlson, step-daughter Mary Lamberson; father of her children Tim Breiland; brothers Kenneth (Doris) Finstad, Vernon (Mardella) Finstad, Lloyd Finstad, Edward (Phyllis) Finstad, Ferdie Finstad; in-laws Clarence (Mae) Breiland, Kenneth Breiland, Evelyn (Vern) Bloom, Paul Dowden; nephews Wendell, Brian and Steve; niece Cheryl;
