Gordon Jerome Peterson, 93, of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, Minnesota.

Gordon was born on August 29, 1931, in Portal, North Dakota, to Arlie H. and Olga C. (Efteland) Peterson. He grew up in Pembina, North Dakota, and graduated from Pembina High School in 1951. On August 31, 1956, Gordon married Margaret Ann Jerome at St. Patrick's Rectory in Hallock, Minnesota. The couple initially made their home in Fairmont, Minnesota, before settling in Thief River Falls.

A hardworking and entrepreneurial man, Gordon owned and operated Northwest Coffee for 15 years before selling the business to Arco Coffee of Duluth. He also served as a maintenance supervisor for the Grand Forks School District for 25 years before retiring in 1969. In his later years, Gordon pursued his passion for buying and selling golf carts, cars, and tractors.

Gordon was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret; their infant son Joseph Gordon; his parents; and his siblings. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends who will remember him fondly.

A graveside service for Gordon will be held 2:00 PM on Thursday June, 5 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding.
