Harold H. Anderson, 89, died Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, December 26, 2005 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Father Tim McGee officiating. Burial will be at St. Bernards Cemetery, Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at Johnson Funeral Service.

Harold H. Anderson was born July 27, 1916 at Crookston, MN, the son of Carl and Ida (Olson) Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN. He graduated from Lincoln High School, Thief River Falls.

He served his country in the United States Navy from 1944-1946 and was stationed in Guam.

Harold was united in marriage to Catherine Rose Langevin.

Harold was an employee for the City of Thief River, serving in the capacity as Superintendent of Water Department for 44 years.

He held membership in International War Veterans Association, American Legion, Eagles, Elks and VFW Post 2793, Thief River Falls, where he served as Post Commander and also served as District Commander from 1963-1964. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.

Harold is survived by wife, Catherine; sons, Roger (Palma), Thief River Falls, MN, Robert Bob , Thief River Falls, MN, Bruce (Kris), Minneapolis, MN, Scott, Wausau, WI and Kathy (Rod) Rein, Wausau, WI; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents and brother, Art Anderson.
