Harold Fladhammer, 77, of Mentor, MN died on Wednesday, June 20, 2001 at Merit Care Hospital in Fargo, ND. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2001 at 11:00 AM in Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor, MN with Reverend Sylvia Jerdee Officiating. Burial will be held at the Faith Lutheran Cemetery at Mentor.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 " 8PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Harold Allen Fladhammer was born May 23, 1924 at Leonard, ND son of the late Christ and Anna (Versdahl) Fladhammer. He attended school in Erskine and Winger, MN. He entered the US Army on February 24, 1945 and served during WWII, stationed in Germany until his honorable discharge December 6, 1946. On October 15, 1948 he was united in marriage to Corann Gulsvig at Oklee, MN. The couple farmed near Mentor, he also worked as a carpenter and worked for American Crystal Sugar in Crookston until his retirement in 1981.
Harold enjoyed carpentry, traveling, reading and computers. Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Corann Fladhammer of Mentor, MN; daughters Karen (Lorry) Stensrud of Lake Forest, IL and Pat (Jim) Hanson of Thompson, ND: sons Larry (Joan) Fladhammer of Maple Bay, MN and Ron (Kim) Fladhammer of Joliet, IL: seven grandchildren Brock, Judd, Luke, Ben, Britta, Erik and Greta. Sisters Myra (Arnold) Gulsvig of Fisher, MN; Helen (Art) Lee of Erskine, MN and Edna (Lawrence) Skiple of Red Lake Falls, MN and brothers Art (Delores) Fladhammer of Fergus Falls, MN and Alvin (Gladys) Fladhammer of Fosston, MN.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents Christ and Anna Fladhammer, one brother Kenneth Fladhammer.
