Harold Ford, 74, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Saturday, May 01, 1999 at Riverview Hospital in Crookston, MN of a heart attack.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 1999 at 6:30 PM in the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls with Reverend Curtis Brooks Officiating. Burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery of Red Lake Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:30 until service time at the Petterson Funeral Home.
Harold Harry Patrick Ford was born June 18, 1924 son of Martin and Mary (Pahlen) Ford in Red Lake Falls. He enlisted in the US Navy at age 17 ½ and served on the Battleship USS SO Dakota during W.W.II from January 1942 until his honorable discharged 16, 1945. On September 18, 1948 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Meyer at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls. The couple made their home in Red Lake Falls where Harry worked at the Red Lake Electric Cooperative for 40 years, retiring in 1987.
Harold was an active member of the American Legion Post in Red Lake Falls and the VFW of Thief River Falls. He was a member of the sportsmans club and loved to hunt, fish and garden.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Red Lake Falls, MN; daughters Kathy Kleven (Corky) of Huntington Beach, CA; Linda Potucek (Jim) of Warren, MN; Laurie Ford of Anchorage, AK; Kristi Hagen (Elroy) of Moorhead, MN: sons Guy Ford (Lori) and Bryan both of Grand Forks, ND: 10 grandchildren and one sister Jean Beaudry of Romeo, MI.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Leo Ford and Elmer Ford and an infant son Bradley.
