Obituary

Harold Lambert, 78, died Friday, August 30, 2002 at Northwest Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Dennis Raymond officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 from 5-8 PM at the Johnson Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.

Harold Lambert was born July 15, 1924 in Hallock, MN to the late Archie and Julianne (Norum) Lambert. He was baptized and confirmed in Two Rivers Lutheran Church near Hallock. He attended rural school near Hallock and graduated from the Northwest School of Agricultural in Crookston, MN.

Harold was united in marriage to Mildred Paulson on June 5, 1949 in Grand Forks, ND. He worked for area farmers near Hallock and a dairy farmer near Blaine, MN for a short time. In 1950 he purchased a farm in New Solum Township, Marshall County where he has since resided. Besides farming Harold also worked for the ASCS office as a field surveyor for many years.

Harold enjoyed gardening. He served on the Red Lake Electric Board, as a New Solum Township Board Supervisor, on the Middle River " Snake River Watershed Board, and also was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls.

Survivors include his wife Mildred in Oakland Park Nursing Home, Thief River Falls, MN, and four sons: Harvey, Thief River Falls; Harley, Grand Rapids, MN; Randy (Donna) Laramie, WY; Paul (Beverly) Roseville, MN; one brother Phillip (Rose) Lambert, Hallock, MN; four sisters: Elizabeth Lambert, Karlstad, MN; Dorothy Flaherty, Emily, MN; Grace (Ted) Smit, Greeley, CO and Marjorie Carlson, Arizona City, AZ;. Many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive him.

Preceded in death by his parents.
