Obituary

Harold Polansky, 74, died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Oakland Park Nursing Home, Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at St. Clements Catholic Church, Grygla, MN with Father John Kleinwachter and Father Tim Noah, presiding. Burial will be at St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Monday, September 18, 2006 at St. Clements Catholic Church, with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church, Tuesday.

Harold L. Polansky was born July 28, 1932 in Thief Lake Township, Marshall County, MN, the son of George Paul and Mary (Musial) Polansky. He was baptized at St. Janes Catholic Church, Thief Lake and confirmed at St. Bernards Catholic Church, Thief River Falls. He attended Rollis Country School until the 8th grade near Gatzke, MN and graduating from Middle River High School at Middle River, MN in 1950, receiving the out standing senior boy merit from the American Legion.

He farmed with his parents until he went to work for American Motors Corporation in Milwaukee, WI, then for Arctic Cat, Thief River Falls, MN and Northern Pride, Thief River Falls.

He loved music very much and was fortunate to play with the Four Knights, Mylan Ruud and the four Knights, the Rythum Ramblers and record with the Tony Rademacher Band, the Happy Notes and Frankie Yankovic. He also played with some local bands.

Harold is survived by sisters Mary Anna (Robert) Verbout, Grygla, Angeline (Donald) Verbout, Grygla; sisters in law Betty Polansky, Menomonee Falls, Wis, Clara (Ray) Keoser, Pahrump, NV and Marge Polansky, Thief River Falls, MN along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents; brothers Lawrence, George and Eugene; a niece and a nephew.
