Obituary

Harriet Johnson, 64, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at her residence in rural Thief River Falls, MN.

Harriet Gail Jorgenson was born May 7, 1943 on the family farm in Moylan Township, Marshall County near Goodridge, MN the daughter of Norman and Gladys (Johnson) Jorgenson. She came to know the Lord as her personal savior when she was a young child and was later baptized as a young teen in Thief River Falls.

She attended school in Goodridge, MN and graduated in 1961 as co-valedictorian of her class. Harriet worked in the office as secretary at Goodridge School for a short time.

On December 15, 1962 Harriet was united in marriage to Richard B. Johnson in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple moved to Florida and lived at Eglin Air Force Base near Ft. Walton Beach and lived there for 18 months with Richard serving in the U.S. Air Force. To this union five children were born, Trentyn, Dawniss, Ryanell, Karlace, and Anndrea. In 1964 the family moved to Babbitt, MN and lived for four years and in April 1968 they moved to Thief River Falls where they have since resided.

Harriet enjoyed reading, sewing, cross-stitch, ceramics, crocheting, gardening, and spending time outdoors; she loved animals and especially cherished time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her home and spent much time caring for it. She loved reading and studying her Bible and taught Sunday school for years. She was a member of Bethel Assembly in Fosston, MN.

Survivors include husband, Richard Johnson of Thief River Falls, MN; children, Trentyn (Julie) Johnson of Shoreview, MN, Dawniss (Pastor Mark) Hanson of Karlstad, MN, Ryanell (Barbara) Johnson of Fosston, MN, Karlace Bass of Karlstad, MN and Anndrea (Scott) Hetherington of Thief River Falls, MN; 14 grandchildren, Contessa, Cierra and Brennan Johnson, Chelsie, Noelle, Brooke and Bryton Hanson, Ryler, Regan and Emalia Johnson, Jude, Danika, Kade and Ellia Bass; brothers, Wendell (Joyce) Jorgenson of Newfolden, MN and Royal (Neva) Jorgenson of Phoenix, AZ; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Arlowyn Jorgenson; and brother, Jerroll (LaDonna) Jorgenson and their son, Bryan.
