Harriett Ross passed away on February 4, 2018 at her home in Oklee, MN.

Harriett Elaine Ross was born May 24, 1931 at Southampton Hospital New York, NY daughter of George and Florence Brown. She was raised in New York and attended school there.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Hermann in New York. To this union 6 children were born Douglas, Allen, Ernest Jr., Deborah, Frances, and Conrad. The couple settled in Southampton, Long Island, NY. She worked from home doing odd jobs. Ernest passed away in 1969.

She then married Carlton Ross and moved to Wainscott, NY. Harriett began working in the health care field as a nursing assistant and home care. Carlton passed away.

Longtime family friend Matthew Genova and Harriett moved to Georgia and in 2011 they moved to Oklee, MN where they have since resided.

Harriett enjoyed knitting, crocheting, bird watching, playing cards and word search, gardening and canning. Most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by friend Matthew Genova of Oklee, MN, children Douglas (Zsuzsanna) Hermann, Allen Hermann, Ernest Jr. (Debra) Hermann, Deborah Wallace, Frances (Jeffrey) Lancto, Conrad Hermann; step-children Elaine Winkel, Donald Hermann, Jack Rival; sisters Ella Ambrose and Florence Brown; brother Jack Brown. She was loved by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, parents, sister Annabelle Miller; step-children Richard Hermann and Claudette Hermann; grandchild Gavin Schwartz.
