Harry Kling of Thief River Falls, MN, 75, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Pastor Troy Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls. Harry Dean Kling was born September 18, 1939 in Kenmare, ND, the son of Arthur and Olga (Halgrimson) Kling. He attended school in Donnybrook, ND, and upon graduating from high school moved to Thief River Falls with his family. Harry started work at the age of 17 for J & B Drug. Throughout the years the drug store changed hands and Harry stayed with the company until retirement. On July 1, 1961 Harry was united in marriage to JoAnn Hermann in Thief River Falls where they made their home. Harry enjoyed going to the races in Grand Forks, Greenbush, and Ada, meeting "the guys" for coffee, trips to the casino, and bowling. Harry is survived by sister, Judith (Clifton) VeVea of Bemidji, MN; nieces and nephews, Devin (Dar) VeVea of Bemidji, MN, Shari Vanasse of Phoenix, AZ, Kippy (Henry) Knoblauch of Bemidji, MN and Margaret Asp of Thief River Falls, MN; and friend, Marlo Solberg and her family of Thief River Falls, MN. He is preceded in death by wife, JoAnn Kling on October 18, 1993; his parents; brother, Richard Kling and nephew, Jeff Kling.
