Harvey Gagner, 72 of rural Mentor, MN died on Saturday, March 20, 1999 at his home. Petterson Funeral Home of Red Lake Falls, MN.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 1999 at 10:30 AM in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne, MN with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 5 " 8 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Harvey James Gagner entered this world on December 29, 1926 at home in Terrebonne Township, MN, son of Philemon and Ida (Toupin) Gagner. Harvey attended Roosevelt Country School and spent a number of years working on the family farm until he was called to serve our country in 1952. He served in the Army for approximately three years, much of the time in Alaska. He resided in California for several months. Harvey later returned to help on the family farm in Terrebonne.
On July 6, 1963, Harvey married Mary Ann (Jaeger) Erickson. He told many that he was waiting for a rich widow " he married one rich in children. Harvey welcomed his eight stepchildren into his heart.
Dad continued to farm the Gagner Farmstead until he retired and remained on the farmstead until his passing.
Dad enjoyed being with people, he loved telling jokes. His most favorite hobbies were fishing and hunting, he loved his cattle and his pets.
Dad was a member of numerous organizations including the Knights of Columbus, the Plummer American legion, the Plummer Lions Club, the Plummer Creamery Board, the Midland Coop Board and the Terrebonne Township Board.
Those of us left to cherish his memory include his wife Mary Ann; children Lisa (Marlin) Sorenson of Plummer, MN, Desiree (Claus) Tjellesen of Grand Forks, ND, Sandra Erickson of Wheatridge, CO, Terrence (Deb) Erickson of Sabin, MN, Mark Erickson of St. Paul, MN, Marcia Erickson of St. Paul, MN Joan (Thomas) Sebenaler of Lancaster, MN, Steven (Carol) Erickson of Forest Lake, MN, Timothy (Joan) Erickson of Highlands Ranch, CO, Sonia (Richard) Foote of Arvada, CO. Thirteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Siblings include Blanch Black of Grand Rapids, MN, Henry (Lorraine) Gagner of Minneapolis, MN Theresa (Maurice) LaCoursiere of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Cherie Ann (Richard) Pederson of St. Paul, MN.
Those who have gone ahead and are welcoming dad home include his son Phillip, his parents; sisters Florence Roy, Alma Vuckovich; brothers Louis, Thomas, Theodore, Lawrence, Maurice; and a number of hunting buddies.
Dad left this world to join his heavenly father on March 20, 1999. He died at home in the presence and arms of those who loved him.
