Harvey Louis Hagl Jr., of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River.

Born on July 20, 1978, in Thief River Falls, Harvey was the son of Harvey Louis and Violet Norma (Larson) Hagl Sr. He grew up in Red Lake Falls, Mentor, MN and also Helena, MT. He graduated from Win-E-Mac High School in 1997. He later attended Northland Technical School, where he earned a degree in welding.

Throughout his life, Harvey worked for the city of Red Lake Falls, Homark Homes, and Wood-Master/Altoz. He also served as a caregiver for his father, demonstrating his loyalty to family.

Harvey was known as a "jack of all trades, and master of none" always ready to tackle a construction project or repair a vehicle. He had a unique sense of humor and a special way with words that brought laughter to those around him. He enjoyed spending time with friends, listening to Rock N Roll music, knocking back a few. He took great pride in maintaining his yard—especially mowing.

A kind-hearted man with a gentle nature and warm smile, Harvey made everyone feel welcome. He had a special way with children and was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear.

He is survived by his siblings Allen Gustafson, Wayne Gustafson, Vern (Lisa) Gustafson, Pam Bradshaw, and Lisa (Dean) Wallace; special friend Deneen Morgan and her children; and as "Papa" to Lydia and Ferguson. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Teddy "LeRoy" Gustafson and David Gustafson; several aunts and uncles; and brother-in-law Randy Bradshaw.

A celebration of life/potluck will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 starting at 3:00 PM at his home in Red Lake Falls (BYOB and chair). May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
