Harvey Skyberg, 68, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at his home in Newfolden, MN.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Evangelical Free Lutheran Church, Newfolden, MN, with Reverend Gary Barrett officiating. Burial will be at Westaker Cemetery, Newfolden, MN.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 5:30 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday.

Harvey Leonard Skyberg was born August 24, 1938 at Grand Forks, ND, the son of Clarence and Myrtle (Bakken) Skyberg. He was baptized at United Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, ND and confirmed at Oiland Free Lutheran Church in Greenbush, MN. He attended School District U17 in Roseau County, MN.

Harvey owned and operated the family farm. He also worked at Bridgemans Creamery, Thief River Falls and American Crystal Sugar, as foreman in Grand Forks, ND; and was a part time carpenter. He also worked three seasons for the Galillee Bible Camp.

He was a member of Evangelical Free Church, Newfolden, MN. He enjoyed visiting with family, friends and neighbors and enjoyed watching Christian videos.

Harvey is survived by 2 brothers: Conrad Skyberg, Holt, MN; Donald Skyberg, Fargo, ND; 4 sisters: Adeline (Floyd) Nelson, Newfolden, MN; Elaine (Curtis) Thompson, Newfolden, MN; Shirley (Robert) Olson, Middle River, MN; Rose (Marvin) Nelson, Thief River Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother and sister, and 2 sisters: Evelyn Johnson and Clarice Trontvet.
