Henry Snus Johnson, 74, of McIntosh, MN formerly of Plummer, MN died on Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at McIntosh Nursing home in McIntosh, MN. Arrangements with the Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 1999 at 11:00 AM in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with Reverend Clarence Johnson Officiating. Burial will be held in the Emardville Cemetery near Plummer.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Henry Johnson was born May 20, 1925, at Federal Dam, MN son of Dell and Madeline (Nelson) Larson. They lived in Federal Dam for a time, then he moved with his family to East Grand Forks, MN where they farmed. The family later moved to Emardville Township near Plummer, MN where they raised small grain and cattle. Henry served in the US Military and received a medical discharge. He returned to the family farm in Gervais Township near Terrebonne, MN where they farmed together. In the later years they had a big garden from which they sold fruits and vegetables. Henry lived on the farm until taking ill. He entered the McIntosh Manor Nursing Home on September 19, 1995 where he has since resided.
Henry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, woodwork and poetry. The later years he attended flea markets always coming home with something.
Henry is survived by his half brother Bill Johnson (Betty) of Florida and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his mother Madeline, father Dell and half brother Vernon Noterman.
