Henry John Molskness was born on November 22, 1908 in rural Hillsboro, ND to John and Sina (Kaldor) Molskness. The family moved to Dorothy, MN in 1910 with the family and attended the Black River Area School. He worked on the family farm until he was 21 years old and then went out on his own and worked.
He married Frances Victoria GrahAm on April 5, 1937 in the parsonage in Crookston, MN. The couple made their home in Crookston and he worked for the WPA for one year. He worked on a farm in Euclid for four years, and then the couple rented a farm near Crookston for a short time. Henry then began working for the Great Northern Railroad for eight years and was a fireman and a boilerman. The couple moved back to Crookston and then came up and farmed on his brother, Clarences place for two years. He worked at Tunberg motors for a short time in the body shop. He then worked at the City Dairy for eight years, the turkey plant for a short time, for the Berg Vigen farm for 3 years, and maintenance at the hospital and armory until retirement.
