Herbert Anderson, 89, of Park City, IL died on April 15, 2001 at Pavilion Nursing Home in Waukegan, IL.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2001 at 2:00 PM in the Finnish National Cemetery in Plummer, MN.

Herbert Anderson was born March 14, 1912 in Chicago, IL where he was raised and educated. He worked at the Linberg Steel Heat Treating for 33 years in Melrose Park, IL. On July 2, 1949 he was united in marriage Aileen Silta at Chicago, IL. He has spent the last 13 years in Waukegan, IL.

He is survived by his granddaughter Caryn; great-granddaughter Mariah both of Florida: nephew Donald (Scharlene) Fox of Plummer, MN: grand niece Debra (Scott) Greelis of Moorhead, MN; grand nephew David Fox of Plummer, MN; niece Georgene (Mike Carroll of Delaware, OH; nephew Charles (Mary) Clark of Two River, WI; godson Brian Montague of Crystal Lake, IL and many good friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his wife Aileen on May 20, 2000; son Gerald; parents; brother Edwin and sister Elsie.
