Herbert (Herb) Derosier, 71, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Monday, September 9, 2002 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 13, 2002 at 1:30 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks, MN with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery at Terrebonne, MN.Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 " 8 PM with a 7:30 prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.


Herb Joseph Derosier was born December 11, 1930 at Terrebonne, MN son of the late Joseph and Minnie (LaCoursiere) Derosier. He was raised there and attended Bugalo School at Terrebonne. Herb entered the US Air force on September 20, 1950 and served until his honorable discharge on September 19, 1951. He worked at the mines in Hibbing, MN for a time then in 1965 moved to Brooks where he worked road construction, he also worked at the beet plant and was deputy sheriff for two years. In 1978 he moved to the family farm in Terrebonne where he farmed and drove truck. His favorite occupation was trucking which he did for over 35 years retiring in 1997.He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. He enjoyed playing cards and being in the outdoors. He was a member of the American Legion Post #22 in Red Lake Falls, and St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brooks.He is survived by his children Tony (Julie) Derosier of Erskine, MN; Debra (Jeff) Champagne of Brooks, MN; Tom Derosier of So. Milwaukee, WI; Dale Juneau of Red Lake Falls, MN; Jerry Juneau of Red Lake Falls, Dawn (Leif) Fore of Oklee, MN; Joseph Derosier of Phoenix, AZ and Special family Friend Tina Flynn of Highmore, SD. Grandchildren Dana Berberich of Mesa, AZ, Lance Berberich of Lakesville, MT; Jessica Derosier of Erskine, MN; Blake Derosier of Erskine, MN, Derek Juneau of Sioux Falls, SD, Jolene Juneau of Pierre, SD, Jordan Juneau of St. Hilaire, MN, Shane Champagne of Brooks, MN, Jayden Fore, Oklee, MN, Brandon, Matthew, Brittany, Alex, Kimberly and Catrina Rose Derosier all of So. Milwaukee, WI. Two great grandchildren Jordan Aakhus of Erskine, MN and Maxwell Berberich of Fergus Falls, MN. Sisters Darlene (Dory) Kazmeirzak of Eden Prairie, MN, Marcella Laydecker of Overland Park, KS and Noella Delorme of Thief River Falls, MN; step sister Bernice Valley of Red Lake Falls, MN.Herb is preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen Joseph Derosier and brothers Vern and Don.
