Hubert Joseph Havlik was born on November 29, 1920 in Plummer, Minnesota the son of Joseph and Mary (Vacek) Havlik. He was raised and attended school in Plummer. Hubert farmed with his parents near Plummer. He moved to the state school in Brainerd, MN, where he lived for many years. Hubert was proud to raise and lower the American Flag each day and deliver mail to the residence. Following his retirement he continued to live in Brainerd, until he became ill. He moved to the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls for a short time until moving into Valley Home in Thief River Falls on January 17, 1991.
Hubert liked helping his neighbors with their farm work. He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.
Hubert is survived by his sister Marietta Jorgensen of Thief River Falls, nieces Carolyn (Roger) Seely of Buffalo, MN, Marlene (Burton) Prichard of Poquoson, VA, Lorna (Daniel) Arel of Dilworth, MN, Kristi (Kevin) Condon of Fargo, ND, Lori (Tom) Eichenberger of Anthem, AZ; 6 great nephew; 6 great nieces and 4 great grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters LaVerne Fabricius, twin infant sisters and one infant brother.
Hubert Havlik, died on Thursday, June 27, 2002 at Valley Home in Thief River Falls, Minnesota at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 28 days. May his memory be blessed.
