Hulda Sigerud, 96, Thief River Falls, MN formerly of Goodridge, MN passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Thief River Care Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

The funeral service to celebrate Hulda's life will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2022 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Alex Amiot officiating.  Burial will be at Reiner Cemetery, rural Goodridge, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Hulda Berthina Hanson was born April 28, 1925 in Hickory Township, Pennington County, MN, the daughter of Bennie and Ella (Aason) Hanson.  She was baptized in Hickory Township and at the age of 4, she moved with her family to Highlanding Township, MN. Hulda was schooled at Highlanding "Old Glory" School.  She lived at home, where she helped, until she was old enough to go out and work.  Hulda did housework and farm work.  She also worked at the processing plant for 19 seasons, starting at $1 per hour and ending with $3 per hour.

On February 19, 1943, Hulda was united in marriage to Otto Sigerud at Trinity Lutheran parsonage, Thief River Falls, MN.  After her marriage and on her 20 ^th birthday, she was confirmed in her faith.

Hulda was a member of Reiner Lutheran Church, rural Goodridge, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Aid.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Steve) Hinrichs, Angora, MN; grandchildren, Mike Sigerud, Morristown, MN, Dale Sigerud, Burnsville, MN, Chad Hinrichs of Angora, MN and Lance Hinrichs of Tampa, FL; 10 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Hulda was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; son, Virgil Sigerud; parents; grandson, Scott Hinrichs; great-grandson, Axel Hinrichs; brothers, Alvin (Norma) Hanson and Orbin Hanson; and sisters, Blanche (Harry) Bolstad and Oray (Mike) Mikkelson.
