Ida Arnevick, 95, died Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 12, 2007 at Abundant Life Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Wesley Langaas officiating. Burial will be in the Holt Cemetery, Holt, MN.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Ida Louise Holter was born January 8, 1912 at Barnesville, MN, the daughter of Theodore and Alma (Holt) Holter. She was confirmed on May 5, 1929 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Barnesville. On June 8, 1933, Ida was united in marriage to John Arnevick at Thief River Falls, MN. After their marriage, the couple lived at Holt, MN and Gatzke, MN, before settling near Grygla, MN in 1935. Ida and John had two children, John Jr. and Alice.
Ida lived at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN for the past 10 years, and lived in Thief River Falls prior. Ida enjoyed puzzles, reading, sewing, playing bingo, attending the Friendship Club and Red Hat outings. She was a member of Abundant Life Lutheran Church and was very active in her church choir.
Ida is survived by one daughter, Alice (Jerome) Spears of Ponemah, MN; one brother, Ted (Juanita) Holter of Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren: Rose (Larry) Eckstein and Jerry Johnson, all of Red Lake Falls, MN, Dennis (Eileen) Johnson of Glyndon, MN, Kenny Johnson of Red Lake, MN and Tobi Hayden of Canada; great grandchildren: Justin, Luke, Shawn, and Chad Johnson of Glyndon, MN, Ashley, Courtney, Brandon, Danielle, and Hayley Eckstein of Red Lake Falls, MN and Aaron, William and Arthur Hayden of Canada.
She was preceded in death by husband, John on April 9, 1963, parents, one son, John Jr.; brothers, Charles and Ben Holter; sisters, Amanda Parent and Alice Kutscheid; and great granddaughter, Dorothy Hayden.
