Ida Paulson, 92, of Grygla, MN died on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND with her loving family at her side. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 3, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla, MN with Reverend Robert Dahlen officiating. Burial will be at Valle Cemetery, Grygla, MN. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the church. Ida Sophia Nygaard was born November 19, 1919 in Benville Township, Beltrami County, MN, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Severinson) Nygaard. She was baptized when she was 15 years old and confirmed as an adult at Grace Lutheran Church. She attended school in Benville Township. Ida lived at home and worked as a housekeeper in the area. On October 11, 1939, Ida was united in marriage to Roy Paulson at the Mavie, MN parsonage, by Reverend E. O. Sabo. The couple lived on a farm in Benville Township until 1972, when they moved into Grygla, MN. Following Roy's death on November 8, 1994, Ida moved to Fargo, ND to be close to her family. Ida was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla, MN. While living in Fargo, Ida enjoyed her connection with Hope Lutheran Church and she also enjoyed attending church services at Elim Care Center. She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne (Bob) Footitt, Fargo, ND; grandsons, Scott (Jennifer) Kujanson of West Fargo, ND, Jason Kujanson of Phoenix, AZ, and Trent (Hillary) Kujanson of Halstad, MN, Bob (Tiffany) Footitt, Jr. of Moorhead, MN and Bill (Tonya) Footitt of West Fargo, ND; six great grandchildren, Mikaela and Paige Kujanson, Hailey Kujanson, Kayden and Kelby Kujanson, Jailyn Footitt. Ida is preceded in death by husband, Roy; parents; sisters, Hilma Larson, Helen Halvorson, Esther Sabo and Edna Paulson; 5 brothers, Irvin, Sigfred, Victor, Henry Jr., and Roy Nygaard.
