A Memorial Service celebrating Ira's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Imperial Room in the Ralph Engelstad Arena in Thief River Falls, MN. Ira was born December 8, 1980 in Jamestown, North Dakota, the son of Myron (Joe) and Connie (Schiefert) Suko. In 1984 they moved to a small farm near Plummer, MN. Ira attended schools in Plummer and Thief River Falls, MN through middle school. In 1995 Ira moved with his family to Mesa Arizona, spending the following two winters there. Summers were spent in northern Minnesota with friends and family. During this time Ira completed a high school correspondence program through American School in Chicago, Illinois. In 2001 he graduated from Northland Community & Technical College. He was united in marriage to Angela (Angie) Piatt on June 9, 2006, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Thief River Falls, MN where their children Ariana, and Devin were born. Ira worked several jobs throughout his life. He spent the last 15 years at Digi-Key Electronics where he held several positions; his last position was Director of Semiconductors. He started his own business in 2012 called Two Brothers Barbecue. Ira loved the outdoors, and he loved his toys. Anything with a motor on it was preferred. His favorite past times were four wheeling, snowmobiling, or cooking with his smokers. What he enjoyed the most, however, was time spent with family and friends. He was never too busy to help someone out, and he always put others first. Ira grew up and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on September 13, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Angela (Angie); his two children who he was very proud of: one daughter, Ariana Suko; one son, Devin Suko; his parents, Myron (Joe) And Connie (Schiefert) Suko; one brother, Dustin (Megan) Suko; two nieces, Vyktoria and Madilynn; and one nephew, Connor. He was preceded in death by sons Jonathan, and Kyle; Grandparents, Art and Frances (Knott) Schiefert, and Gotthilf and Leona (Rembolt) Suko; and several aunts and uncles.
