Irving W. Irv Beyer, 78, of rural Red Lake Falls, MN died on Sunday, February 24, 2002 at his home near Red Lake Falls. Arrangements with Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 10:30 AM in St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls with Reverend Jeffrey S. Lytle Officiating. Burial will be held in the Immanuel Cemetery at Wylie, MN.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service and also one hour prior to services on Wednesday all at the St. John Lutheran Church.

Irving Ward Beyer was born December 28, 1923 at Lorain, Ohio son of the late Chester and Beatrice (Lampe) Beyer. He moved to California with his family at a young age. He moved to Wylie Township near Red Lake Falls with his family at Age 9. He attended school in Dorothy and Graduated from Lafayette High School at Red Lake Falls in 1941. He enlisted in the Army Airforce on August 6, 1942 and served until his honorable discharge on March 26, 1943.
On February 12, 1944 he married Adeline Weiss at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple made their home on the family farm in Wylie Township where he dairy farmed with his father and brother until 1972 and since then has farmed with his daughter and son-in-law Dennis and Nancy Haglund.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Wylie until merging with St. John Lutheran in Red Lake Falls where he has since been a member. He was Wylie Township Supervisor (1948- 1970) and served as Red Lake County Commissioner for 20 years. Irv was very active in Church, Community and Civic activities and also involved in county and state Politics. His motto was Irv will serve . He was a member of the NFO and Red River Valley Milk Producers Association and was the longest living member of the American Legion Post of Red Lake Falls. He enjoyed hunting, was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Most of all he loved and enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Irv is survived by his wife Adeline Beyer of Red Lake Falls, MN; children Cheryl Beyer of Hawley, MN; Steven (Phyllis) Beyer of Elkhorn, NE; Nancy (Dennis) Haglund of Red Lake Falls, MN; Pat Huot-Kentch of Salt Lake City, UT; Julie (Todd) Buse of Red Lake Falls, MN; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. One sister Jean Weinberg of Red Lake Falls, MN; and sister-in-law Jeanne Beyer of Red Lake Falls, many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers Chester and Neal.
