Jacob C. "Jim" Knudson

JACOB "Jim" KNUDSON was born in Hope, ND on January 7, 1939 the 15th child of John Edwin (Ed) and I. Sophie (Boe) Knudson.  Passed away March 16, 2018 in Grand Forks, ND.  He attended school at Clifford ND, Argusville,ND and he graduated from Portland, ND High School in 1958. He moved to California where he worked construction and returned to ND in 1960.  He married Jean Thronson in 1961, they were later divorced.

He farmed in Clifford, ND and in 1970 moved to MN where he farmed in Goodridge, Oklee, and Gully MN.  The past years he had lived in Thief River Falls the last year at the Thief River Care Center.

Jim is  survived by his brother, Joe Knudson of Sioux City, IA and Henry (Hank) Knudson of Mayville, ND & Mesa, AZ and sisters Ione (Keith) Iverson of Gold River, CA and Rose Beck of Phoenix, AZ.  In laws Bill Love, Janice Knudson White, and Yvonne Knudson and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers Orville "Bud" (Edith), Donald (MaryAnn), John (Lillian), Mons, Ole (Phyllis),and Walter. Sisters Esther (Irgenes), Holman, Elaine (Oliver) Ambroson, Faye (Phil) Nordtvedt, Infant Fern, Delores (Joe) Calabray, Harriet (Jim) Buzick and Beverly Love, brother in law Steve Beck and special friend Judy Johnson.

Services will be held on May 19, 2018 at 11AM in Clifford, ND at the Norman Lutheran Church.
