Jacquelyn Ranae Aune, 73, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at her residence.

A Memorial Service in honor of Jackie will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN, with Pastor Jared Clausen officiating.  Interment will be held at 3:30 PM at Moose River Cemetery in Gatzke, MN.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Service.

Jacquelyn Ranae (Spencer) Aune was born on May 26, 1947 in Montevideo, MN, the daughter of Charles and Verna (Marienau) Spencer.  She was the youngest sibling to Carol, Sharon, Dick, Marlene, and Donna.  Jackie attended Orono High School.

In 1964 Jackie met the love of her life at Lake Independence near Wayzata.  Orrin and Jackie were married on January 16, 1965 during a blizzard.  They started their life in Minneapolis and shortly after moved to Thief River Falls where they raised their three children, Lon, Kim, and Gwen.  While living in Thief River Falls Jackie she was a stay-at-home mom and a Girl Scout leader.  Later she was employed at Northern State Bank.

In 1984 the Aune's started a new adventure, moving to Anchorage, Alaska.  In Alaska Jackie was a valued employee at Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association.  While in Alaska she enjoyed hosting many visitors, camping, snow machining, bowling, and dancing.  Orrin and Jackie have many fond memories of their Alaska adventures.

In 2001Orrin and Jackie traveled around the United States until they settled in Glenwood, MN.  Jackie was employed at Dairyland Health Services until her retirement.  April of 2020 brought Orrin and Jackie home to Thief River Falls.

Jackie was known for her crocheting and crafts and sharing those gifts with her family.  She also enjoyed puzzles, watching professional sports, phone calls with her sisters, and the countless people that came to visit.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Orrin of Thief River Falls, MN; children, Lon (Kristy) Aune of East Grand Forks, MN, Kim (John) Paxton of Greeley, CO, and Gwen (Jason) Munguia of Centennial, CO; grandchildren, Kelsey (Jared) Clausen and their children Peter, Micah, and Anna of Grand Forks, ND, Kyle Aune of East Grand Forks, MN, Spencer (Keary) Aune and their son Philip of Bismarck, ND, Alyssa Munguia and Jason Munguia of Centennial, CO, Haley Paxton of Oxford, MS, and Laiken Paxton and Brooke Paxton of Greeley, CO; siblings, Carol Swanson, Sharon (Mearl) Kibler, and Donna (Duane) Ritter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Janis (Floyd) Jesme, Gerald (Val) Aune, Mavis (Dale) Newton, Raymond (Sue) Aune, Connie (Roger) Graff, and Lyle (Julie) Aune; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Orrin's parents, Olaf and Paula Aune; brother, Richard and his wife Judy; sister, Marlene and her husband Hank Schraufnagel; brothers-in-law, Bob Swanson and Jay Aune.
