James Hayes, 80 of Thief River Falls, MN died peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Essentia Health First Care Living Center in Fosston, MN.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

James Hayes was born on March 5, 1937 in Big Falls, MN the son of George Franklin and Clairebel Doris (Erickson) Hayes.  In 1944 the family moved to Thief River Falls, MN where James has since resided.

Survivors include one sister Cleo Mason of California; and several other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
