James Jarvie, 53, of Brooks, MN passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center, Thief River Falls, MN.

A gathering time for family and friends will be held from noon until 2:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

James Craig Crawford Jarvie IV was born August 20, 1964 in San Diego, CA the son of James Craig Crawford and Elizabeth (Stovall) Jarvie.

James moved around a lot when he was younger with his mother.

He had many jobs throughout the years including washing dishes, working on vehicles, driving forklift, and inspecting aircraft parts.

James enjoyed fishing, boating, cooking, crafting, collecting antiques & stuff, sitting around the bonfire talking with family and friends, and loved grilling out with his kids!  He had a funny, outgoing, independent personality.

Survivors include his children, Raeanna Jarvie of Thief River Falls, MN, Kacie Jarvie of Mentor, MN, Aaron Jarvie of Oklee, MN, James Jarvie, Donald McNiven, Samantha McNiven, Patience Jarvie, Ryan Wilson all of Washington; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, little Birdy; and two sisters.
