James "Blondie" Thompson Jr. of Thief River Falls MN passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at the Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

James "Blondie" Russell Thompson was born August 16, 1949 son of James R. and Doris I. (Craven) Thompson in Grand Forks, ND. He attended school in Grand Forks, ND. The family moved to Thief River Falls in 1965. He had various mechanic jobs.

He was married to Jeanie Mosbeck. Blondie worked for Swanson Farms, Novachek farms and Hartz Trucking.  He enjoyed hunting and working on cars.

Blondie is survived by his two sisters Betty Nelson of Grand Forks, ND and Vickie Ho of Thief River Falls, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Jeanie.
