James Logan 71 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

A time of Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 2-5 PM at the American Legion in Middle River, MN.

James Logan Jr. was born January 16, 1949 son of James Sr. and Mary Bell (Pinder) Logan in Natchez, MS. He moved to Milwaukee, WI with his mother at a young age. James graduated from Rufus King High School in 1967.

May 21, 1969 he entered the US Army and served his country until his mother fell ill and was honorably discharged on October 1, 1969. Jim returned to the Milwaukee area until many years later when he moved to the Middle River/Thief River Falls, MN area where he lived out the rest of his life.

Jim liked to say he "worked his whole life" when asked about his work experience. He spent 18 years at Patrick Cudahy in Milwaukee and from there went on to variety of jobs from driving to assembly and manufacturing, and security. Whatever his occupation, Jim enjoyed working and would quickly become a favorite among coworkers.

Jim loved sports. He played basketball as a child and as an adult was always "watching the game." From watching his granddaughters in youth basketball and dance to following professional basketball and football – Jim was a fan of every sport. He enjoyed spending time at the casino visiting with friends and neighbors. He liked to listen to music and dance, and play cards, Bingo, and dominoes.

Jim is survived by his children James (Amanda) Logan III of Roselle, Il, Daphne (Jeff) Hansen of White Bear Lake, MN and Tiffany (Ben) Lundberg of Hugo, MN, granddaughters Sophia, Sydney, and Logan, and a host of cousins and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
