James Olson, 63, died Thursday, March 20, 2003 at North Country Regional Hospital, Bemidji, MN.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 2:00 PM in Nazareth Lutheran Church rural Trail, MN with Reverend Joseph Abrahamson Officiating. Burial will be held in the Nazareth Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday 6 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, MN and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

James Tom Olson was born August 16, 1939 in Thief River Falls, MN son of Arne and Irene (Willin) Olson. He was baptized and confirmed at Nazareth Church North of Trail. He attended Oklee High School, after leaving school he worked in Washington and Wisconsin at Bucyrees Erie Co. in South Milwaukee, WI as a heavy rigger. He was a member of the Operating Engineers #49. James and his brother John farmed in Hickory Township the last few years. He very much enjoyed hunting, trapping and flea marketing and bee keeping.

He is survived by his brother John Olson of rural Gully, sister Marian Olson of McIntosh, MN and Marlene Halseth of Blaine, MN; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Arne and Irene Olson; step-mother, Ethel Olson; brother, Halvor Olson; sister, Joan Battleson and niece Susan Irene Battleson and nephew, Lyle Olson.
