James Rogalla, 58, died Wednesday, September 05, 2007 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Mark Helgeland and Pastor Jeff Gustafson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2007 with a 7:30 PM Prayer Service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
James Francis Rogalla was born November 21, 1948 in Warren, MN the son of Florian and Sarah (Dauksavage) Rogalla. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Warren, MN. He attended school in Warren and graduated from Warren High School in 1966. Jim furthered his education at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls and at Moorhead State College in Moorhead, MN graduating with a degree in Business Administration.
After college, Jim went to work at Thorpe Financial in Brainerd, MN, then moved with the company to Thief River Falls where he later went to work for Northwestern Bank. He worked there for about 20 years and then went to Marshall County State Bank in Newfolden and most recently worked for Northern State Bank in Thief River Falls where he retired in 2005.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the cabin at Skime, watching his daughters play sports, playing with his grandchildren, golfing, and playing cards.
He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ducks Unlimited, Elks Club, and served on the Board at Northwest Medical Center.
Jim is survived by four children, Carter (Leslie) Rogalla of Thief River Falls, Ryan Rogalla of Moorhead, MN, Kylie Rogalla of Winona, MN, and Shawna Rogalla of Thief River Falls; three grandchildren, Alexa, Haylie, and Carlie Rogalla; three brothers and two sisters, LaVerne (Becky) Rogalla of Alvarado, MN, Earl (Jane) Rogalla of Hamm Lake, MN, Yvonne Rogalla of Broken Arrow, OK, Sara (Fred) Vegge of New Brighton, MN, and John (Sylvia) Rogalla of Moorhead, MN; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two nephews.
