James D.  Sauve, 82 of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away on Monday, February 03, 2020 at his residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner presiding. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Red Lake Falls in the spring.

James Dennis Sauve was born March 9, 1937 at Crookston, MN, the son of Oscar and Palmire (Sauve) Sauve.  He was baptized and confirmed at Gentilly, MN.  He attended Midway School.

On October 24, 1959, James was united in marriage to Elizabeth Hagl at Terrebonne, MN.

He worked at Red Lake Falls Silo Company for 31 years, Klipping Construction for 2 years, and Sanitary Service, Red Lake Falls for 21 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, going to auction sales and helping people when needed.

James is survived by 6 children: Sherry (Wallace) Rondorf, Thief River Falls, MN, James A. Sauve, Bloomington, MN, Michelle (Randy) Chaput, Red Lake Falls, MN, Colleen (Pete) Gudmundson, Red Lake Falls, MN, Jamie (Peggy) Sauve, Red Lake Falls, MN and Bradley (Angela) Sauve, Red Lake Falls, MN; 10 grandchildren: Cassandra Rondorf, Jessica Rondorf, Samantha Chaput, Evan Chaput, Brett Larson, Casey Sauve, Kylee Sauve, Wyatt Sauve, Landon Sauve, Kiara Sauve; 4 great-grandchildren Charley Mae, Elizabeth Marie, Travis James, Kevin James; brothers and sisters: Lorraine Schmidt, Red Lake Falls, MN, Jerome (Marlene) Sauve, Red Lake Falls, MN; sister-in-law, Kathy Sauve, Rudd, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, 3 infant sons: James, Joseph and John; a grandson, Brandon Sauve; mother and father; brothers and sisters: Agnes Lambert, Mary Kellenburger, Edmond, George, Omer, Robert, Pete, Eli, Michael and Sam Sauve.
