James Leo Schindler, 58 of Stirum, ND, passed away on July 28, 2020, at his home in rural Stirum, ND.
Jim was born on February 4, 1962, in Red Lake Falls, MN, to Eugene and Patricia (Amiot) Schindler. He was raised and educated in Red Lake Falls, where he graduated from high school in 1980. After high school, Jim worked on various farms in the area. He married Shelly Cota on September 27, 1985. They moved to Warroad, MN, where he worked at Marvin Windows for 25 years.
After his wife passed away in 2008, he moved to Lisbon, ND, in 2011 working at Bobcat in Gwinner, ND. He later moved to rural Stirum, ND, where he lived out his life, enjoying hunting and fishing.
Jim is survived by his mother, Patricia Schindler of Red Lake Falls, MN, nine siblings: Andrew (Joni) of Warroad, MN, Patty (Roger) Piché of Red Lake Falls, MN, Mark of Mentor, MN, Joan Dodds of Fargo, ND, Michael (Jackie) of West Fargo, ND, Daniel (Carolyn) of Greenbush, MN, Karen (Brian) Theroux, of St. Francis, MN, Linda (Bill) Rivard of Baudette, MN, Darrell (Rachel) of Grand Rapids, MN, a brother-in-law Jerry (Elaine) Gorden, Buxton, ND, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene, his sister, Vivian Gorden, and his wife Shelly.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday August 1, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Red Lake Falls, MN.
