Obituary

James Stoltman, 42, died on Saturday, October 14, 2005 at his home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2005 " 10:30 AM at St. Bernards Catholic Church, with Father Tim McGee, presiding. Burial will be in the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Warsaw, ND.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM with a prayer service held at 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.

James Stoltman was born on April 16, 1963 in Oakland, CA the son of Ted and Jeannette (Slominski) Stoltman. He was baptized in Oakland, CA and received his First Communion in Babbitt, MN. James attended school in Oakland, CA, Babbitt, MN and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1981. Following High School he entered the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged on July 27, 1982. After his Discharge James attended college in Anoka, MN but, he couldnt finish because he was seriously hurt in an accident.

James had several jobs in Thief River Falls, including Northern Pride for 8 years, sub contractor, repairing railroad tracks and American Crystal Sugar Company in Crookston for 7 years. He was very proud of being able to hold his job through the pain of his accident.

James enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming and loved being with his family and his hunting and fishing buddies.

James is survived by his parents, Ted and Jeannette Stoltman of Thief River Falls, MN; one brother, Roger Stoltman of Thief River Falls, MN; one sister, Bonnie (Larry) Kraft of Thief River Falls, MN; niece and nephew, Kylie and Brody Kraft of Thief River Falls, MN; grandmother, Tessie Urbanovich of Thief River Falls, MN; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his very special dog, Totto.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter Stoltman; maternal grandparents, Rose and Matt Slominski; step grandfather, Tony Urbanovich; and special cousin, Tonya Slominski.
