Janet Johnson, 62, died Monday, July 15, 2008 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Funeral Mass will be 11 AM, Friday, July 18, 2008 at St. Bernards Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Monsignor Timothy McGee presiding. Burial will be at St. Bernards Catholic Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church, Friday.

Janet Ann Chwialkowski was born March 21, 1946 at Warren, MN, the daughter of John and Mary (Gajewski) Chwialkowski. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She attended school at Strandquist, MN, graduating from Strandquist High School in 1964.

She worked at Karlstad Health Care Center for several years as a nurse aid as well as a receptionist for John Samuelson Chiropractic in Aurora, MN.

Jan enjoyed reading and doing volunteer work when she could. She was particularly fond of spending time with her dear grandchildren.

She is survived by children: Jamie (Heather) Oistad, Thief River Falls, MN and Scott Oistad, Karlstad, MN; grandchildren: Kali, Madison, Morgan and Anthony Oistad; a brother: Ted (Rita) Chwialkowski, Stephen, MN and sister: Phyllis (Gene) Anderson, Strandquist, MN as well as several nieces nephews and friends.

Janet is preceded in death by granddaughter: Amanda; parents; grandparents, brother: Conrad and sister: Eleanor.
