Janice Lee Bouffleur Mentor, MN, age 76, died Friday October 6, 2017 at Essentia Health in Fosston, MN with her loving family at her side.

Graveside Service will be 2 PM, Friday, October 13, 2017 at Rosehill Cemetery, near Mentor, MN with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating.

Janice Lee Davis was born on February 20, 1941 at home on the family farm in Tilden Township, Polk County, MN the daughter of Clarence and Velva (Roberts) Davis. She was baptized in Maple Lake by Pastor Walley. Janice attended the Mentor Public School graduating with the class of 1959.

On August 29, 1959, Janice was united in marriage to Gary Bouffleur at the Bethel Bible Church Parsonage in Mentor, MN. They purchased a farm in Grove Park Township in Polk County and to this union four children were born, Allen, Larry, Lori, and Darcie. Janice enjoyed being a homemaker while the kids were growing. She then went to work for Lee Nursery for the next 19 years.

Janice loves her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them and babysitting the grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, sharing the produce from her beautiful garden, and being with her good friend, Gloria Ostgard

Janice was a member of the Bethel Bible Church and was currently attending Gosen Lutheran Church at rural Winger, MN.

Survivors include her children, Allen Bouffleur of Mentor, MN, Larry (Sheila) Bouffleur of Mentor, MN, Lori (Rick) Krull of Moorhead, MN and Darcie (Daniel) DeFrang of Duluth, MN; 9 grandchildren, Craig, Eric, Travis, Kayla (Tom), Bobbie, Derek (Marisa), Nikki, Krissy, and Chad; 7 great-grandchildren, Leonard, Emma, Owen, Easton, Carter, Hayden, Aubrey, Callie Ann, and Natalie; brother, Charles (Kathy) Davis of Bemidji, MN; sister-in-law, Betty Davis of Red Lake Falls, MN; many friends and her dog, Lady.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; brother, Donald; and her parents.
